- ➤ On Tuesday, a 19-year-old Embry-Riddle student riding his skateboard was hit by a Daytona Beach patrol car at the northwest corner of Clyde Morris and Richard Petty Boulevards when the vehicle entered on a green light—he was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the crash remains under investigation. - ➤ A teenage boy in Volusia County was arrested on April 23rd for allegedly poisoning his grandmother by putting bleach into her milk, which she drank before calling 911—he was taken into custody at her home. FOX 35 Orlando
- ➤ A Florida teenager was arrested in Deltona on April 19th for allegedly poisoning his 77-year-old adoptive mother's milk with bleach after she detected a strong chemical taste—he admitted he did it because he no longer wanted to live at their home, authorities said. FOX 35 Orlando
- ➤ Daytona Beach deputies said 39-year-old Cody Ryan Henderson fled after a felony stop on Tuesday when he abandoned his truck on the beach—he is wanted for charges including operating a chop shop, forgery, terroristic threats, and obstruction. FOX 35 Orlando

- ➤ Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students will step directly into air traffic control towers because a new FAA program lets them start work without extra training.
