- ➤ Fitzgerald Ihekwoaba, a U.S. Navy aviation mechanic (and veteran), earned his bachelor’s degree in Aeronautics in December and is now pursuing a master’s with a focus on Aviation Safety after a fatal Marine Corps helicopter crash motivated him to improve flight safety. He gained valuable experience studying abroad and through mentorship from Dr. Nicole Bier (an assistant professor at Embry-Riddle), and he currently works as an FAA aviation safety intern.
