- ➤ Volusia deputies are searching for 26-year-old Juan Orlando Gaspar, a disabled man from Deltona who went missing Tuesday at about 3 p.m. from a residence on Waco Drive (two companions have since been found) and without a vehicle, with authorities saying his clothing description remains unknown and urging anyone with information to call 911. - ➤ Daytona Beach purchased a half-acre of land off Ocean Avenue near Harvey Avenue for $2.2 million as the first step to extend and upgrade its boardwalk and pier. - ➤ Volusia County reported a property value increase of over $3.96 billion for 2025—values rose by 3.8% to over $108.5 billion while taxable values for homes and businesses climbed 8% to more than $65.78 billion; county leaders will review the budget on July 22 and may raise property taxes at public hearings in September.
