  • Thirty Bob Ross paintings will be auctioned to support public television, with the first three set to sell in Los Angeles on Nov. 11. GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • Volusia County officials said repeated repairs to the wooden jetty connector failed after damage from a high tide on Oct. 11—prompting them to file a plan with the U.S. Army Corps to extend a concrete deck 400 feet west for a lasting solution. The county said repairs will resume when weather and tides allow for safe work.  FOX 35 Orlando
  • After months of talks, the city and ICI Homes agreed to fix the Mosaic neighborhood sidewalks to solve drainage issues and stop slippery conditions. Both parties will plan repairs within 30 days and sign contractor deals within four months — the improvements include sidewalks and driveways — with each paying for their own work.  The Daytona Beach News-Journal
  • Marineland Dolphin Adventure was sold on Monday for $7.1 million to Delightful Development—this sale has many town officials unsure if the park will keep its dolphins and historic charm or change its purpose. Town leaders plan to contact the buyer soon to protect the legacy of this local landmark built in 1937.  WNDB
