- ➤ Florida lawmakers are considering bills that would require schools in Central Florida to alert parents when students hit set truancy numbers — such as more than five unexcused absences in one month. The proposals include teachers reporting early warning signs and banning out-of-school suspensions for attendance issues to support students. News 6
- ➤ Embry-Riddle student Jacob Pritchard will receive a Research Scholar transcript notation when he earns his degree this spring; he is the first Worldwide Campus student to earn the recognition after completing research projects in Homeland Security and Business Technical Management (the program is open to interested students).
