- ➤ Daytona Beach will host the 85th Bike Week from Feb. 27-March 8, featuring major races at Daytona International Speedway and cultural events such as Ink The Bay at the Ocean Center from March 6-8, with the Regional Chamber guiding visitors at its Welcome Center (downtown). DaytonaBeach.com
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced on Jan. 28 that the state joined 23 others in the Education Freedom Tax Credit, which offers residents up to $1,700 in credits for tutoring and scholarships. The tax credit will be available in January 2027 & aims to expand school choice. FOX 35 Orlando

- ➤ State wildlife officials reported that over 100 vultures were found dead at Blue Spring State Park on Jan. 28 due to avian influenza — they are now investigating the virus spread across Florida. FOX 35 Orlando
