  • Dr. Gerald Cook and his wife Diane pledged a multimillion-dollar estate gift to Embry-Riddle’s Worldwide Campus College of Business—its largest in history—to fund scholarships, research, and new learning technologies.   • The Volusia Sheriff’s Office is asking locals with French-Canadian or Irish-Canadian heritage to give DNA samples to help identify a white man found deceased in Ormond Beach in 1982—authorities say his death was suspicious as he had no personal effects.  News 6
  • A 70-year-old woman was hit by an e-bike on a Volusia County beach where she lost consciousness and broke her leg—deputies arrested Frederick Rich after witness statements and video footage showed he fled the scene and later confessed while trying to hide his probation violations.  FOX 35 Orlando
  • On March 13th, deputies arrested convicted felon Jacob Davis in Deltona after he drove with a gun and threatened a shootout with law enforcement before returning to prison—officials later found a loaded handgun, ammunition, meth and paraphernalia in his car that led to several charges.  FOX 35 Orlando
