  • Halifax Humane Society offers male cat neuter surgeries for five cents with its Neuter Scooter for a Nickel promotion running through June 30 at its Spay & Neuter Clinic on Mason Avenue.   • At the Volusia Innovation Challenge on March 25 at the Ocean Center, TarpBags won for its innovative roof ballast bags—earning $10,000 plus a year of workspace and mentoring at the Volusia Innovation Hub.   • A High Surf Advisory is in effect as 14-foot waves and 40-mph winds make beach conditions dangerous today. Local officials in Volusia and Brevard are preparing for heavy rains and pockets of flooding along the coast.  FOX 35 Orlando
  • After a wet start Monday that closed Interstate 4 in Osceola County, a cold front will bring intermittent heavy rain, cooler temperatures (into the lower 80s) and potential flooding across Central Florida this week.
