EDUCATION NEWS

  • A ceremony at Kennedy Space Center honored more than 500 fifth and sixth graders from Central Florida for their moon-themed projects on Thursday at the Center for Space Education. Congressman Haridopolos and school board members, with support from Boeing, later selected student questions for the Artemis II crew.  News 6

ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • On April 9, Colorado State University forecasted a below average hurricane season as FOX 35's Brooks Garner explained the outlook for the upcoming Atlantic season, giving local residents insights + preparing them for fewer storms.  FOX 35 Orlando
  • Flagler County closed on a $6.05 million purchase of 3,800 acres near Daytona North to create the Big Cypress Swamp Nature Preserve (a key part of its Environmentally Sensitive Lands program), ensuring protection for wetlands and wildlife habitats.
