Good morning, Daytona Beach.

Volusia Ave., has fed 30 to 40 homeless people daily and provided groceries to over 300 families each month since it opened three years ago — the center founded by Trinity Church Pastor Jamie Jones and led by Executive Director Chris Rojas also offers showers, rest, and worship services to those in need.
71-year-old Kevin McNamara was arrested after he allegedly rammed an SUV carrying eight people — including five children — during a road rage incident on Beville Road near a golf course off Wilder Avenue in Daytona Beach; he appeared in court wearing an orange jumpsuit and now faces 15 felony charges with a bond of $150,000.
On April 1st the Volusia County Council made the Ormond dog beach permanent after a review showed few rule violations and strong public support.

Volusia County will open the $1.4 million Veterans Memorial Plaza at 9 a.m. on Friday, April 25 on the northwest corner of the Tom Staed Veterans Memorial Bridge in Daytona Beach (it is the final phase of the county’s memorial along the Halifax River).
