- ➤ Local hotels, restaurants and distilleries in Daytona Beach prepare for Jeep Week as 20,000 Jeeps and 200,000 Jeep lovers are expected to visit the area. Copper Bottom Craft Distillery in Holly Hill said its team has produced 50 or 60 cases of its official spirits so far — the event will also raise money for local charities. WESH
- ➤ On April 18th, United Against Poverty unveiled a new 26-foot refrigerated truck—donated by a Florida Blue grant—to bring fresh food to Central Florida food deserts. The organization hopes the truck will improve food access in local communities. FOX 35 Orlando

- ➤ A utility worker, Alexander Roseborough, was seriously injured in Port Orange when a vehicle hit the bucket of his boom truck at 8 a.m. at Nova Road and Madeline Avenue—he was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center and the driver was not hurt. The Daytona Beach News-Journal

- ➤ In DeBary, a white male in his 50s attacked a woman with a golf cart on March 5 at Sackett Road and Lake Drive—he was upset with a SUV driver—and the sheriff's office is asking anyone with information to come forward. The Daytona Beach News-Journal
- ➤ The Volusia County Sheriff's Office is searching for Orlando-based contractor Ryan Paul, who is accused of grand theft, scheme to defraud and exploitation of a senior citizen after he allegedly stole from the victim. FOX 35 Orlando

- ➤ Embry-Riddle spent $5 million to buy new advanced manufacturing equipment funded by the Florida Department of Education that lets students use a 3D ceramic printer and other tools to build innovative aerospace materials.
