🎓 Education
Daytona State College will offer its first full Paramedic Certificate program at the Flagler/Palm Coast campus in May to train emergency responders—creating new opportunities in the region.
The program will start on May 19th and is open to students with Florida EMT certification—helping meet growing local demand for paramedics.
🏛️ Government
Lake Helen City Hall, built in 1913, is now getting repairs as crews remove mold and replace AC ducts—work that is expected to finish by July when the city council will move back in.
City Manager Jim Gleason said the repair may cost up to $2 million and more work will be needed to fix leaky windows and wood rot.
