- ➤ On Tuesday night, Port Orange police said Daniel Lee Asseff, 60, allegedly shot two Walgreens employees at the store on Taylor Road at 5:26 p.m.—one employee remains in the hospital with a serious torso wound while the other was treated for a foot injury and released. WESH

- ➤ Volusia County is taking control of the Business Incubator at Daytona Beach International Airport from UCF as the county plans to rebrand it as the Volusia County Innovation Hub after UCF operates the program until June 15th (a move that will yield cost savings and expanded services).
