- ➤ The Florida Highway Patrol investigated a two-vehicle crash on SR-44 at Shell Road in DeLand just before 8 a.m. Tuesday— a driver in a 2018 Toyota Tacoma died at the scene while the driver and passenger in a 2023 Dodge Ram 2500 were taken to AdventHealth DeLand for treatment, and both lanes were blocked as troopers continued their investigation.
