On Sunday near New Smyrna Beach, a 33-year-old man was stabbed 11 times during a fight at a homeless camp—Volusia County deputies arrested 27-year-old Corey Cotton for aggravated battery while the victim was airlifted to Halifax Health Medical Center in Daytona Beach in critical but stable condition.

Corey Cotton (27) was arrested at the scene on Sunday evening in New Smyrna Beach after he allegedly stabbed a 33-year-old man 11 times near the intersection of Findley Street and Old Mission Road in a transient camp, and officers found a blood-soaked folding knife on him while the victim was taken to hospital and is expected to recover.

Children and teens ages 6 to 15 can join summer day camps at the Lyonia Environmental Center in Volusia County that offer live animal encounters, nature hikes, games and art activities.
