  • Over Memorial Day weekend, law enforcement and Coast Guard joined with local police to patrol Volusia County waterways as boat traffic surged to record levels, prompting safety checks for minor registration issues and equipment failures, and rescuing seven people near New Smyrna Beach after a boat broke down.  News 6
  • DeLand officials held a Memorial Day ceremony yesterday at Bill Dreggors Park to honor fallen service members and remind young people of their sacrifice.
