- ➤ Port Orange City Council approved an agreement on June 17 for police to serve as School Resource Officers at Creekside and Silver Sands middle schools—this five-year deal will begin with the 2025-26 school year and add about $76,000 to the city's annual budget with the school district reimbursing half the cost.
