- ➤ Today at 1:00 p.m. in Daytona Beach, state attorney William Shiner will announce if charges will be filed against the dog owners after loose dogs—later euthanized—attacked and killed 8-year-old Michael Millett when he stopped to pet a dog while riding his bike in Berry's Ridge in January. WESH

- ➤ Five Embry-Riddle students showcased innovation at ISDC in Orlando in June (as part of the Rising Stars program hosted by the National Space Society) and their projects covered cybersecurity, human spaceflight, crew design and space mining. - ➤ Embry-Riddle faculty members Dr. Becky Lutte and Robert Sumwalt were honored yesterday by the National Aeronautics Association with the prestigious Wesley L. McDonald Distinguished Statesman & Stateswoman of Aviation Award for their work in aviation education and safety—adding to the university's long legacy.
