ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A 40-year-old firefighter/EMT candidate from Ormond Beach died Friday morning in Bunnell during a pre-employment agility test with Flagler County Fire Rescue—after finishing the test, he complained of shortness of breath, became unresponsive, and was pronounced dead at AdventHealth Palm Coast. - ➤ Solis-Guzman, an 18-year-old from Lakeland, was sentenced to eight years in prison and five years of probation after he pulled a gun during a spring break fight on New Smyrna Beach on March 14—he pleaded no contest to charges including aggravated assault on an officer, firearm possession during a felony, and tampering with evidence. - ➤ Festival founder Danny Wimmer announced on Friday that Welcome to Rockville will continue at Daytona International Speedway for ten more years (2026 to 2035) with Speedway President Frank Kelleher and NASCAR driver Carson Hocevar confirming the deal.
