  • A local man, Chris Goston, fell for a fake job offer by Ridgeline Express when he applied through Indeed—he later lost work hours and personal data while experts warned that such scams have cost Floridians nearly $9.5 million with the company rated F by the Better Business Bureau.  News 6

CULTURE NEWS

  • Michael Connelly, the famous writer of Bosch, is teaming with playwright Jim Leonard to create a new TV show inspired by his early work as a crime reporter at the Daytona Beach News-Journal— the series, Untitled Florida Task Force, is in development at Paramount Television Studios.  The Daytona Beach News-Journal

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying Northrop Grumman’s Cygnus mission to the International Space Station from Cape Canaveral on September 14. Eight minutes later its first stage landed on Landing Zone 2—residents in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Indian River, Seminole, Volusia, Polk, St. Lucie and Okeechobee counties may have heard sonic booms.  WESH
