- ➤ On Sept. 6, Daytona Beach International Airport hosted The Arc of Volusia’s Wings for All event that allowed about 100 residents with autism or intellectual disabilities and their families to practice the air travel process. Participants checked in, passed through security, and boarded a plane — airport staff and crew offered support, and organizers hope to run the event again next year. The Daytona Beach News-Journal
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ The county government announced new Votran routes that went into effect Sunday in parts of Volusia County — adjustments include changes to bus stops on routes 4 and 10N in east Volusia and added trips for routes 30 and 34 in west Volusia. Riders may notice altered schedules to help improve service reliability. WNDB
