- ➤ 101-year-old World War II veteran Art Hobbs will be among the honored guests at the Pearl Harbor Day event on Sunday, Dec. 7 at AmVets Post 2 (Edgewater). The Daytona Beach News-Journal

- ➤ JetBlue returned to Daytona Beach on Thursday, Dec. 4 with its first nonstop flight from New York since January 2019 after a seven-year break. The Daytona Beach News-Journal
- ➤ Aldi will open half of the former Winn-Dixie at Riverwood Shopping Center on Dec. 18 after a ribbon-cutting at 8:45 a.m. at 4025 S. Nova Road in Port Orange — the discount grocer took over the space when the supermarket closed in March. The Daytona Beach News-Journal
- ➤ Playa Bowls is opening two new restaurants by year’s end in Daytona Beach and New Smyrna Beach—serving acai bowls, smoothies, and more. The New Smyrna Beach site holds a grand opening at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, while the Daytona Beach location soft opens later with seating and chill zone. Hometown News
