  • A painting honoring Women in Business was given to Ormond's Cici Brown today at the 20th annual Volusia-Flagler Women in Business event—featuring work by artist Thays Franca who reimagined Rosie the Riveter.  The Daytona Beach News-Journal
  • Daytona Beach is set to welcome new hotels, a reimagined Billy’s Tap Room, a dog beach and renovated landmarks like the Ocean Center & Jackie Robinson Ballpark in 2026, while the International Airport adds expanded flight options for locals and visitors.  DaytonaBeach.com
  • Sandra Hudson, a grandmother with four grandchildren, faced home damage from Hurricane Ian, and local programs helped her rebuild (through Fresh Market at the Mickel Brown Center and Florida Blue Healthy Living Program).   • WESH 2’s 40th Share Your Christmas drive raised $887,888 and collected 82,746 lbs of food — supporting 3.6 million meals for local families. The month-long event ran from Giving Tuesday through Dec. 12 and was honored with local proclamations.  WESH

  • Today, a makeover begins on North Beach Street between Bay and Michigan as city officials vote on a $1.26 million local match for a $10 million project to add new curbing, wider sidewalks, parking, landscaping, & utility upgrades that will finish by Nov. 30, 2027.  The Daytona Beach News-Journal
