- ➤ An Alabama company acquired Daytona Beach-based P&S Paving, known for work on projects like the Interstate 95 interchange at Pioneer Trail, on Oct. 20. - ➤ Port Orange’s long-awaited riverfront development is now uncertain after the original developer backed out, prompting city officials to re-advertise the project next month with bids due in January. - ➤ Daytona Beach-based P&S Paving was named by FDOT on April 30, 2025 as the low-bidder for the planned $120 million Interstate 95 at Pioneer Trail interchange project in Port Orange/New Smyrna Beach — following its work on major local projects like the Daytona Rising makeover and Tomoka Town Center clearances. - ➤ Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University researchers tested a new model called the Bumblebee Model (led by Dr. Quentin Bailey and student Dario Walter-Cardona) that challenges Einstein’s theory by studying how black holes pull on space.
