- ➤ Embry-Riddle cadet Alec Bessonny was named Air Force ROTC All-American Student of the Year after being selected from 15 finalists out of 265 nominations. He will attend the Military Bowl in Annapolis on Dec. 27 to receive his award and scholarship. Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University

- ➤ Daytona Beach has issued a request for proposals to convert its 100-year-old Fire Station No. 1 into a sit-down restaurant and lounge.
