- ➤ Florida deputies captured 36-year-old Levon Coakley after he led a chase on I-95—his car overturned and caught fire during a multi-vehicle crash—before running into the woods following a shooting incident, and he now faces multiple charges including reckless driving. News 6
- ➤ Two teens were arrested after a drive-by shooting in Daytona Beach left a juvenile blind; 19-year-old Tai’shan Capell (one teen) and a 17-year-old minor (the other teen) faced charges including attempted first-degree murder with a firearm. FOX 35 Orlando

- ➤ The Volusia County Council will vote Tuesday on making the dog beach in Ormond Beach permanent—this pilot program began on Nov 1 and has seen strong volunteer support along with a few resident concerns about safety and wildlife, while officials plan to boost enforcement and lower costs.
