EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Embry-Riddle researchers have developed an AI system that turns pilots’ and air traffic controllers’ radio talks into text to help reduce errors and improve safety. The system uses speech recognition and natural language processing (via OpenAI’s Whisper) and has received $30,000 from the Boeing Center for Aviation and Aerospace Safety (to support future real-time tests). - ➤ Volusia County announced that all county administrative offices will be closed Monday, Sept. 1 for Labor Day while trash collection in unincorporated areas and disposal sites follow regular schedules.
