  • A man was injured in a shooting outside a residence at 653 Glenhaven Ave in Pierson on Friday—deputies said he was found in his minivan with a neck wound, his coworker shot him before fleeing, and he is now at a nearby hospital in serious but stable condition.  WNDB
  • Jerron Singletary was arrested after he broke into his ex's home in Deltona, fired a shot into the ceiling while her friend and sister were inside, and stole a cellphone—deputies tracked the stolen phone and found him hiding under a recreational vehicle in the woods.  WESH

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Four Daytona Beach homeowners will soon move into modern, safe homes as the city replaces condemned houses with new, accessible residences funded by state and federal housing programs. Work has begun on a reconstruction project at 622 Marion St.—the homes will remain affordable for qualifying residents for 15 years.  The Daytona Beach News-Journal
